Thieves Decamp with ₹5.27 Lakh Worth Valuables in Gadag
GADAG: In a daring night-time heist, unidentified miscreants broke into a house in Talageri Oni on Gadag DC Mill Road and made off with cash and valuables worth ₹5.27 lakh. The incident occurred on the intervening night of August 9 and 10, leaving the house owner, Husenavva Doddamani, in shock.
According to police sources, the thieves gained entry by breaking open the interlock of the house. They decamped with gold ornaments weighing 71 grams valued at ₹4.26 lakh, silver articles weighing 410 grams worth ₹41,000, and ₹50,000 in cash.
The Gadag Town police have registered a case and launched an investigation. “We are examining all angles and hope to nab the culprits soon,” said a senior police official, speaking on condition of anonymity.
As investigations are ongoing, more details are awaited in this case.
